Acronis and Intel Partner to Deliver AI-Driven Endpoint Threat Detection

Acronis

Integration of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Intel Core Ultra processors brings faster, more efficient protection to enterprises and MSPs

Acronis has joined hands with Intel to deliver a powerful combination of cybersecurity and performance optimization by integrating Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors. The collaboration aims to address one of the biggest challenges in endpoint security—detecting advanced threats without draining system resources.

The joint solution brings AI-powered real-time detection and remediation directly to endpoint devices, leveraging Intel’s neural processing units (NPUs) to offload resource-intensive security tasks. According to internal performance testing, shifting AI-driven behavioral detection from the CPU to the NPU reduces processor load by up to 92%, enhancing both security and productivity.

“Cyber protection must be natively integrated and AI-powered to address modern cyber threats.”

– Gaidar Magdanurov, President, Acronis

“Cyber protection must be natively integrated and AI-powered to address modern cyber threats,” said Gaidar Magdanurov, President at Acronis. “Our collaboration with Intel empowers MSPs and corporate IT to deliver real-time security at the endpoint with minimal impact to system performance, protecting the productivity of users.”

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is a SaaS-based platform that combines cybersecurity, data protection, posture management, disaster recovery, and endpoint management into a single solution. It delivers comprehensive protection against ransomware, zero-day exploits, and fileless malware, while also simplifying security management for IT teams and service providers.

With Intel’s OpenVINO™ toolkit, the platform now benefits from accelerated AI workflows, ensuring that even the most complex security tasks run faster and more efficiently on AI PCs. This is especially valuable for managed service providers (MSPs)MSSPs, and enterprise IT teams under pressure to reduce complexity and deliver stronger outcomes with fewer resources.

Intel’s Carla Rodríguez, Vice President and General Manager, Client Software Enabling, highlighted the user benefits: “Together Intel and Acronis are delivering fast, AI-powered security right on the device. By running complex security tasks on an AI PC with Intel Core Ultra processors, we enable partners like Acronis to deliver breakthrough protection with lower latency and improved performance and privacy.”

As organizations face increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks, the Acronis-Intel partnership underscores the future of endpoint security—smarter, faster, and seamlessly integrated into everyday computing.
