Versa Networks, has again been named the Deployed SASE and Enabled SD-WAN market leader by 650 Group – a trusted market research firm with decades of experience reporting on the data center, communications and Information Technology industries – as published this month in its 3Q22 SASE report and 3Q22 SD-WAN report.

According to 650 Group, Versa posted the leading market share for Deployed SASE and Enabled SD-WAN for Q3 2022 worldwide revenue. Versa has maintained the leading market share in these categories since 2020.

650 Group evaluates over a dozen SD-WAN vendors and over two dozen SASE vendors each quarter to analyze vendor performance quarterly. Each report includes market shares and five-year forecasts with various performance metrics. According to 650 Group, Deployed SASE is defined as single-vendor SASE deployed as a suite. Enabled SD-WAN means a customer has purchased and uses SD-WAN functions.

Alan Weckel, Co-Founder and Analyst of 650 Group, said, “As a result of Versa’s market performance in Q3, we again recognized them as the quarterly market share leader in both Deployed SASE and Enabled SD-WAN,” “Our research indicates that enterprises are making SASE a priority for their IT budgets in 2023 with a preference for single-pane offerings.”

“There has been tremendous customer interest in SASE over the past few years,” said Kelly Ahuja, CEO of Versa Networks. “Versa’s unique set of comprehensive SASE services has been recognized as leading the industry, and it’s rewarding to see our market leadership validated in these 650 Group reports. Our products were architected from inception to tightly integrate the security and networking functionalities that organizations need, which later would make up the SASE market category. Versa’s single-stack architecture uniquely delivers the desired functionalities for organizations, as proven by Versa’s continued success.”

“IT leaders are struggling to connect and protect their enterprises by using several products for SD-WAN, SWG, ZTNA, CASB, NGFWaaS and DLP,” said Kumar Mehta, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Versa Networks. “Such a bolt-on approach results in increased complexity and weakened security posture due to use of multiple consoles and inconsistent security and network policies. Additionally, it also leads to increased TCO. Versa’s Unified SASE approach provides simplification, improved risk posture and better user experience. The industry at large has recognized Versa’s Unified SASE offering, and we are glad to see yet another validation by these 650 Group reports.”
