Anand Kumar Sinha, a seasoned technology executive with more than 28 years of experience in digital transformation, IT strategy, and enterprise innovation, has been appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at Tata Technologies Ltd. In his new role, Sinha will lead the company’s digital agenda, oversee IT strategy, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and accelerate secure, scalable digital platforms that support engineering-led innovation.
Prior to joining Tata Technologies, Sinha served as CIO & Global Head – IT at Birlasoft, where he shaped global IT strategy, drove digital transformation programmes, and led modernisation efforts across infrastructure, cloud, AI and cybersecurity frameworks. His leadership was central in aligning technology objectives with business outcomes, ensuring secure and resilient digital ecosystems for enterprise customers.

Sinha’s career spans influential leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, BARC India, OCS Group India and PCS Technology, where he steered large-scale initiatives in ERP, cloud transformation, artificial intelligence, IoT, and mission-critical digital programmes. He has a well-established track record of building agile, secure and high-performance environments that enable faster innovation and operational excellence across complex organisations.
In welcoming his appointment, industry observers note that Sinha’s broad experience in both IT operations and digital strategy positions him to make a significant impact at Tata Technologies, a company at the intersection of engineering, product development, and digital transformation. His approach emphasises collaboration, security-by-design, and rapid delivery of business value through technology.
Sinha holds an MBA in Information Technology and an Honorary Doctorate in IT and Cybersecurity. He has also completed advanced executive programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIM Bangalore, ISB, AIMA, DSCI and CSI, and has received multiple global awards recognising his leadership in technology.
Based in Pune, Sinha begins his leadership at Tata Technologies at a pivotal time as the company deepens its commitment to digital innovation, engineering excellence and secure, future-ready growth.
