Smarter Security: Akamai and Seraphic Join Forces to Simplify SSE with Secure Enterprise Browsing

The partnership combines enterprise browser technology with Zero Trust to offer a streamlined, cost-effective approach to securing applications, SaaS, and AI tools.

Akamai Technologies has signed a strategic agreement with Seraphic Security to integrate secure enterprise browser (SEB) capabilities into its Zero Trust portfolio. The collaboration represents a significant shift in how organisations approach secure access—offering a simpler, more flexible alternative to legacy security service edge (SSE) architectures.

As digital transformation accelerates and enterprises adopt AI at scale, employees demand frictionless access to private apps, SaaS platforms, and AI tools. At the same time, enterprises must defend against evolving threats such as data leakage and malicious AI prompts. Traditional network security alone cannot cover these gaps, making browser-level protection a critical layer in a modern Zero Trust strategy.

“Enterprises are realising that unmanaged browsers and risky AI tools create gaps traditional network security can’t cover. Partnering with Akamai allows us to extend secure browsing into a broader Zero Trust framework, ensuring organisations can adopt new technologies confidently while keeping users and data safe.”

– Ilan Yeshua, CEO and Co-Founder, Seraphic

By embedding Seraphic’s secure enterprise browser with Akamai’s Enterprise Application Access (its Zero Trust Network Access product), the partnership addresses these needs with an integrated solution that protects users, data, and applications—without adding the complexity of traditional SSE proxies.

“With Seraphic, we’re able to go beyond the limits of legacy SSE,” said Ofer Wolf, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Security at Akamai. “By combining Seraphic’s enterprise secure browsing with our ZTNA solution, we deliver a simpler way to secure apps, SaaS, and AI tools on any device, without the heavy infrastructure and complexity of traditional proxies.”

The combined solution leverages Akamai’s global network for optimal performance, regardless of user or app location. It supports installation-free device posture checks, offers stronger data loss prevention for private app access, and unifies policies across SSE components with a single dashboard for visibility and control.

Akamai will offer customers the integrated solution as well as standalone components, ensuring flexibility in deployment. The move strengthens Akamai’s Zero Trust offering, recently recognized as a “Customer Favorite” in The Forrester Wave™: Zero Trust Platforms, Q3 2025.
