Recognition highlights company’s global CSR initiatives, employee engagement, and sustainability efforts
SmartBear, a leading provider of software quality and visibility solutions, has been honored with the 2025 Tech Cares Award from TrustRadius, an HG Insights company, marking the fifth consecutive year of recognition. The award celebrates B2B technology companies that demonstrate exceptional corporate social responsibility (CSR) through their commitment to employees, communities, and the environment.
Through its SmartBear Gives Back program, the company has expanded global initiatives that include structured employee giving, company match donations, and paid volunteering. Over the past year, SmartBear teams across the U.S., Europe, and India contributed to social impact projects ranging from care packages for nursing home residents in Ireland, to supporting families in need in Poland, to volunteering for Earth Day in India, the UK, and the U.S.

SmartBear also maintained strong partnerships with nonprofits such as Cradles to Crayons Boston, Somerville Food Pantry, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, hosting fundraising walks and supporting cancer research in memory of late CEO Justin Teague. The company further engaged employees in global health awareness initiatives, including Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Movember, matching donations to organizations such as Brave Gowns.
On the sustainability front, SmartBear continues to advance its environmental goals, eliminating single-use plastics, reducing carbon emissions, and powering its Somerville headquarters entirely with renewable energy.
