New AI-powered capabilities bring real-time governance, expanded protection for AI and machine identities, and integrated threat management.

SailPoint has announced major enhancements to its AI-powered SailPoint Platform, introducing the first wave of innovations under its new adaptive identity vision. The expanded platform aims to deliver real-time governance and security across the full spectrum of human, machine, and AI-driven identities addressing the rapidly growing complexity of modern enterprise environments.

With cloud adoption accelerating and AI agents proliferating across business workflows, traditional identity governance based on periodic reviews is no longer sufficient. SailPoint’s new capabilities are designed to shift enterprises toward continuous, automated, risk-aware identity governance.

“The old way of identity governance is no longer effective enterprises now need continuous, AI‑powered, real‑time governance to stay secure.”

Securing Privilege, AI Agents, and Machine Identities

Among the key updates is a new privilege discovery and classification engine, providing complete visibility into privilege risks and automatically identifying and securing unmanaged access across the enterprise.

SailPoint also introduced major enhancements for non-human identities, including new connectors that allow the platform to discover and govern AI agents from leading ecosystems such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Databricks, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and more. Machine Identity Security has also been expanded with full lifecycle management for traditional machine accounts.

A new AI-powered agent for SailPoint Harbor Pilot transforms access requests into simple guided conversations, making identity workflows more intuitive for end users.

Integrated Observability, Data Security, and Modern Governance

Advanced updates to SailPoint Observability & Insights now deliver deeper privilege risk detection, identity comparisons, and operational intelligence. Meanwhile, the integration of Data Access Security with the Identity Graph offers visibility into sensitive data pathways and exposure risks.

SailPoint is also modernizing foundational governance with a next-generation Access Certification engine and revamped Separation of Duties (SoD), expected in late 2026.

SailPoint’s adaptive identity framework is built on real-time governance, protection of AI and machine identities, dynamic privilege, and integrated threat management—an approach it says will redefine enterprise identity security.
