Move positions Indian ICT provider among global players shaping secure, interoperable network APIs for fraud prevention and digital trust

Prudent Technologies has joined the global GSMA Open Gateway initiative, marking a strategic step in advancing standardized telecom network APIs and strengthening digital fraud prevention frameworks worldwide. The collaboration places Prudent Technologies within a rapidly growing global ecosystem working to harmonize CAMARA‑based Open Gateway APIs across more than 300 mobile networks representing over 81% of global mobile connections.

The GSMA Open Gateway program, launched at Mobile World Congress Barcelona, enables telecom operators to expose network capabilities through secure, unified APIs. These APIs such as number verification, SIM swap detection, and network‑level identity authentication are increasingly critical as enterprises look to combat rising fraud and streamline digital onboarding.

By joining the initiative, Prudent Technologies will contribute deep expertise in secure messaging infrastructure, authentication systems, and telco‑grade API integration, helping accelerate the commercial deployment of CAMARA‑compliant network services across global markets.

“Our mission is to bridge network capability with real business value.”

As the digital economy expands, telecom‑native intelligence is becoming foundational to fraud mitigation, particularly across banking, fintech, e-commerce, and government platforms. Prudent’s participation strengthens industry‑wide efforts to move beyond traditional OTP-based verification toward more secure network-level authentication methods.

“Prudent Technologies has always driven innovation at the intersection of secure communication, operator ecosystems and developer-centric APIs. Our involvement with the GSMA Open Gateway initiative reflects our mission to accelerate global adoption of CAMARA and Open API standards while elevating trust, interoperability and security across the telecom ecosystem,” said BJAS Murthy, Director & CEO, Prudent Technologies.

The GSMA welcomed Prudent’s entry into the initiative.

“We’re delighted to welcome Prudent Technologies to the GSMA Open Gateway initiative, with their proven experience of supporting financial services, e-commerce, government and entertainment firms around the world,” said Henry Calvert, Head of Networks, GSMA.

Prudent will focus on enabling telcos to deploy standardised, programmable network services while helping enterprises integrate secure identity verification and fraud‑prevention capabilities at scale. As telecom networks evolve into API-driven platforms, the company’s role is expected to be instrumental in shaping secure, interoperable digital infrastructure globally.
