As enterprises accelerate their adoption of agentic AI and cloud computing, Palo Alto Networks and Google Cloud have announced a landmark expansion of their strategic partnership to enable secure development and deployment of AI solutions. This collaboration combines Google Cloud’s advanced AI infrastructure with Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma AIRS, a comprehensive AI security platform, creating a trusted foundation for organizations to innovate with confidence. The timing is critical: Palo Alto Networks’ recent State of Cloud Report revealed that 99% of organizations experienced at least one attack on their AI infrastructure in the past year, underscoring the urgency for robust security in AI-driven environments.
“Advanced security must be built into the cloud journey from the start.” — Simon Green, Palo Alto Networks
The partnership delivers end-to-end AI security from code to cloud, protecting workloads on Google Cloud services such as Vertex AI and Agent Engine, while securing developer tools like the Agent Development Kit. Prisma AIRS introduces capabilities including AI Posture Management for visibility, AI Runtime Security™ for real-time defense, AI Agent Security for autonomous systems, AI Red Teaming for proactive testing, and AI Model Security for vulnerability scanning embedding security throughout the lifecycle of AI applications. Beyond AI-specific protections, the alliance strengthens cloud security through next-generation software firewalls and Prisma SASE, securing access and networking for remote users and branch offices with deep integration into Google Cloud’s native AI services. This alignment simplifies operations, accelerates deployment, and provides a unified security view across hybrid multicloud environments.
“For our customers across the Asia Pacific and Japan region, the ability to scale agentic AI safely is the new competitive benchmark,” said Simon Green, President, APAC & Japan, Palo Alto Networks. “By integrating Prisma AIRS natively with Google Cloud’s infrastructure, we are enabling businesses to build and deploy autonomous AI applications with comprehensive protection for their data and intellectual property.”
Building on more than 75 joint integrations and $2 billion in marketplace sales, Palo Alto Networks will migrate key workloads to Google Cloud and leverage Vertex AI and Gemini LLMs to power its own copilots reinforcing a shared vision for secure, scalable AI innovation. Together, the two companies are setting a new standard for security in the age of AI.
