New integrated SASE and hybrid firewall solution simplifies cybersecurity for small and medium businesses
NETGEAR® Inc., a global leader in intelligent networking solutions, has unveiled a new enterprise-grade security platform designed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and managed service providers (MSPs).
The launch follows NETGEAR’s acquisition of Exium, a cybersecurity innovator, enabling the company to deliver a unified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and hybrid firewall solution. The offering combines AI-powered Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), SD-WAN, and firewall functionalities into a single, cloud-managed interface.
According to the 2025 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, SMEs have suffered over 3,000 cybersecurity incidents this year—almost four times more than large enterprises. Most smaller businesses lack dedicated cybersecurity teams, leaving them vulnerable to phishing, ransomware, and insider threats.
“Small and medium businesses are just as exposed to cyber threats as larger enterprises, if not more. But most security solutions are too complex or fragmented for them to handle.”
— Farooq Khan, Vice President of Software Security, NETGEAR
By integrating Exium’s AI-driven SASE capabilities with its robust networking portfolio, NETGEAR is bridging this security gap. The platform delivers advanced threat protection, real-time monitoring, and policy enforcement across distributed workforces, helping SMEs safeguard data and streamline operations with minimal complexity.
All features are managed through a centralized dashboard, allowing even lean IT teams to maintain enterprise-level visibility and control over users, devices, and networks. The solution also scales effortlessly, enabling growing businesses to expand protection as they evolve without adding administrative overhead.
In addition to SMEs, the new platform empowers Managed Service Providers with multi-tenant management and automated service provisioning, helping them deliver cybersecurity-as-a-service to multiple clients through one unified console.
Pramod Badjate, President and GM of NETGEAR for Business, emphasized that this launch extends NETGEAR’s leadership from networking to intelligent security: “By integrating Exium, we’re simplifying cybersecurity for the most underserved market segment — small businesses — while empowering MSPs to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade protection.”
