New Cortex XSIAM Select Specialisation strengthens Lumen’s regional SOC transformation expertise
Lumen Technologies has deepened its cybersecurity footprint in the Asia-Pacific region with its newly awarded Palo Alto Networks NextWave Cortex XSIAM Select Specialisation Status in Singapore. The recognition highlights Lumen’s advanced capabilities in deploying and managing Cortex XSIAM to help customers modernise and elevate their security operations centres (SOCs).
The specialisation marks a significant milestone as enterprises across APAC face a surge in cyber complexity driven by cloud adoption, expanded attack surfaces, and AI-powered threats. Lumen’s expanded offering built on Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSIAM, an intelligent SOC automation platform combining XDR, SOAR, ASM and SIEM aims to simplify detection, response and operational workflows for organisations navigating this evolving landscape.
Lumen’s Advanced MDR (Managed Detection and Response) service leverages the full capabilities of Cortex XSIAM to deliver comprehensive, AI-powered protection across cloud, on-premises, identity and operational technology environments. Customers gain consolidated visibility, automated response actions, and reduced licensing and operational overhead key advantages as security teams strive for more efficient, scalable defenses.
“Our Advanced MDR offering is designed to give customers clarity and control in the face of growing cyber complexity,” said Ignatius Wong, Senior Director, Managed & Professional Services, APAC at Lumen Technologies. “Partnering with Palo Alto Networks allows us to deliver a unified, intelligence-driven platform that strengthens security operations while aligning with our customers’ business goals. This specialisation validates our ability to deliver trusted, outcome‑focused cybersecurity backed by deep regional expertise.”
Lumen’s achievement has been further reinforced by its inclusion in the Major Players category of the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) Managed Detection and Response Services 2025 Vendor Assessment. The company believes this recognition reflects its consistent delivery of scalable, outcome-driven MDR solutions supported by regional SOC analysts and the global threat intelligence of its Black Lotus Lab.
Palo Alto Networks also affirmed the importance of the collaboration for the region.
“Lumen’s achievement is a significant milestone that reinforces our commitment to a partner ecosystem focused on world‑class security outcomes,” said Michelle Saw, Vice President, GTM Shared Services and Ecosystems, Asia-Pacific and Japan at Palo Alto Networks. “Customers today need unified, AI‑driven platforms like Cortex XSIAM, combined with trusted regional expertise from partners such as Lumen.”
