Claude AI will power secure, industry‑specific financial, tax, accounting and marketing workflows across Intuit’s platform

Intuit has announced a landmark multi‑year partnership with Anthropic that will bring customizable financial AI agents to consumers and mid‑market businesses through deep integration of Claude AI across the Intuit platform. The collaboration will combine Intuit’s proprietary financial intelligence and decades of tax, accounting and marketing expertise with Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK, enabling organizations to build secure, compliant AI agents tailored to their industry and workflows.

The initiative allows Intuit customers even those without technical expertise to create and deploy agents capable of orchestrating complex financial processes across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, Mailchimp and the Intuit Enterprise Suite. These agents can blend Intuit data with external systems to automate decisions, surface insights and take action.

“We’re delivering something customers haven’t had before AI agents that truly understand their finances, their workflows, and their industry.”

— Alex Balazs, CTO, Intuit

For example, a multi‑location restaurant group will be able to deploy a Claude‑powered agent that merges inventory, payroll and cost data to identify margin issues across individual outlets. A construction subcontractor managing large project volumes could automate compliance deadlines, payment workflows and cash‑flow forecasting through an industry‑specific agent built on Intuit’s platform.

Intuit’s trusted financial tools and intelligence will also appear inside Anthropic products including Claude.ai, Claude for Enterprise and Cowork enabling consumers and entrepreneurs to access tax estimates, generate invoices, connect financial data or consult AI‑powered TurboTax experts directly within Claude’s environment.

“This is a groundbreaking partnership,” said Alex Balazs, Intuit CTO. “By combining Intuit’s data and domain expertise with Claude’s advanced AI models, we’re unlocking custom agents that understand financial workflows at a deep level and can act on behalf of customers.”

Paul Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at Anthropic, added: “The combination of Intuit’s platform with Claude will enable customers to build AI agents that understand their industry and compliance requirements.”

Intuit will also deploy Claude Code internally to accelerate engineering productivity. The first customer experiences from the partnership will begin rolling out in spring 2026.
