New leadership move underscores Intellect’s strategic push into the Canadian financial services market with its AI-powered eMACH.ai platform
Intellect Design Arena Ltd, a global fintech innovator, has announced the appointment of Dave Thomas as EVP and Head of Credit Unions and Small & Mid-market Financial Institutions. Based in Toronto, Thomas will lead the company’s expansion across Canada, focusing on modernising the digital infrastructure of Credit Unions and mid-sized banks with Intellect’s flagship eMACH.ai Digital Engagement Platform.
In addition to driving market growth, Thomas will also oversee the seamless integration and operations of Forge following its successful transfer, along with MemberDirect, from Central 1 to Intellect earlier this year. Over 140 professionals transitioned as part of that acquisition in March 2025, further strengthening Intellect’s footprint in Canada.

With over 25 years at Accenture and a recent stint as CTO of Central 1, Thomas brings extensive experience in digital transformation, enterprise technology, and financial services innovation.
