Recognizing Excellence in High-Performance Computing Innovations in India
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the winners of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam HPC Awards 2025, recognizing outstanding contributions to High-Performance Computing (HPC) in India. Now in its eighth year, the awards celebrate individuals and organizations pushing the boundaries of HPC applications in research and industry.
The awards, chaired by Professor Narayanaswamy Balakrishnan of IISc Bangalore, cover four key categories: R&D in HPC Applications, R&D in HPC Systems (Hardware & Software), Efficient HPC Facility Design & Management, and HPC R&D & Facilities. Notable winners include Dr. Sreejith Ganesh Jaya (IISER Pune), Dr. Hemant Kumar (IIT Bhubaneswar), and Prof. Vijay Natarajan (IISc Bengaluru), among others. Prof. Ramaswamy Govindarajan from IISc Bengaluru received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to HPC R&D and facility development in India.
