Acquisition through GlobalLogic to accelerate HMAX solutions and expand presence across Europe and the Middle East

Hitachi has announced an agreement to acquire Synvert, a German data and AI consulting firm, through its U.S. subsidiary GlobalLogic. The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close by March 2026 and will strengthen Hitachi’s global AI strategy, particularly in the areas of Agentic AI and Physical AI.

Synvert, with more than 550 specialists and a client portfolio of over 200 enterprises, is recognized for its expertise in data governance, advanced analytics, and partnerships with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Its strong presence across Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and the Middle East will complement GlobalLogic’s digital engineering capabilities and expand the reach of Hitachi’s HMAX solution suite.

The acquisition will accelerate deployment of HMAX, Hitachi’s AI-driven operational autonomy and business innovation platform, enabling faster AI adoption, stronger resilience, and reduced costs for customers worldwide.

“By integrating Synvert’s outstanding data analytics and consulting capabilities with GlobalLogic’s digital engineering expertise, we will enhance competitiveness through Agentic AI and accelerate HMAX deployment. We aim to deliver digital value to all and realize a safe, secure, and sustainable Harmonized Society,” said Jun Abe, Executive Vice President, Hitachi Ltd.

GlobalLogic CEO Srini Shankar added that the move will strengthen the company’s consulting and data services while expanding its presence in Europe and the Middle East across sectors including energy, retail, financial services, and insurance.
