D-Link Unveils Industrial-Grade DWM-311 4G LTE M2M VPN Modem for Remote IoT Connectivity

Purpose-built for rugged environments, enabling secure, real-time industrial automation and infrastructure monitoring

As industries accelerate IoT deployments across remote and harsh environments, D-Link has introduced the DWM-311 4G LTE M2M VPN Modem, a robust connectivity solution engineered to support mission-critical machine-to-machine (M2M) communications. Designed with industrial-grade durability, the compact modem delivers high-speed cellular connectivity, secure VPN integration, and cloud-based centralised management, making it ideal for remote infrastructure monitoring, industrial control systems, vending machines, and smart automation networks.

“As industrial IoT deployments continue to grow, reliable and secure connectivity in challenging environments is no longer optional — it’s essential,” said Graeme Reardon, Managing Director, D-Link A/NZ. “The DWM-311 delivers industrial-grade performance with plug-and-play simplicity, enabling businesses to deploy M2M solutions with confidence, knowing their critical infrastructure will remain connected and secure.”

The modem features Cat.4 4G LTE connectivity, a Gigabit Ethernet port, corrosion-resistant steel casing, and wide temperature and humidity tolerance, making it suitable for both outdoor and industrial settings. With integrated OpenVPN support, the device ensures protected data transmission, while remote management through the D-Link Edge Cloud Solution (D-ECS) enables centralised monitoring, automated alerts, diagnostics, and geo-location tracking — significantly reducing the need for on-site maintenance.

Built for intelligent automation, the DWM-311 also supports SMS-based control, scheduled maintenance, client tracking, and status monitoring, empowering IT administrators to manage M2M deployments efficiently from any location.

The modem reinforces D-Link’s “One Connection – Infinite Possibilities” philosophy, addressing the evolving needs of smart industries, IoT integrators, and enterprise infrastructure operators.
