Atlassian Expands India Footprint with New R&D Centre in Bengaluru

Spanning over 2 lakh sq. ft., the new facility supports 1,000+ employees and reinforces India’s role as a strategic innovation hub.

Atlassian has unveiled its new R&D Centre in Bengaluru, marking a major expansion of its India operations. The new facility spans over 2 lakh square feet, making it four times larger than its previous office and designed to accommodate 1,000+ employees across two levels.

India has emerged as one of Atlassian’s fastest-growing R&D hubs, with the team growing from 60 in 2018 to over 2,500 today. Nearly 75% of Atlassian’s India workforce is engaged in R&D, contributing to strategic areas like enterprise search, data residency, and customer success.

The facility supports Atlassian’s Team Anywhere policy, offering flexible workstations, collaboration zones, wellness areas, and hybrid-ready tech infrastructure.
