Atlassian Completes DX Acquisition to Power AI-Driven Engineering Intelligence

Atlassian Corporation

Integration to enhance developer productivity and visibility across AI investments for 300,000+ global customers

Atlassian Corporation (NASDAQ: TEAM), a global leader in team collaboration and productivity software, has announced the completion of its acquisition of DX, a pioneer in engineering intelligence. The move strengthens Atlassian’s mission to empower enterprises with greater visibility into developer experience and deeper insights into the impact of AI investments.

As enterprises embrace AI at scale, engineering leaders face growing pressure to quantify productivity and return on investment. DX addresses this gap through its data-driven intelligence platform that blends qualitative and quantitative analytics to measure, understand, and enhance developer performance and satisfaction across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

“As organizations accelerate AI adoption, the real challenge is demonstrating its value. DX helps enterprises connect data and outcomes to measure and optimize developer experience,” said an Atlassian spokesperson.

With this acquisition, DX will be integrated into Atlassian’s System of Work and form a key part of the Atlassian Software Collection—a comprehensive suite that includes Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines, Compass, and Rovo for developers in the form of Rovo Dev. The integration will enable engineering teams to operate on a unified, AI-native SDLC, giving them end-to-end visibility across development pipelines, workflows, and productivity metrics.

The acquisition underscores Atlassian’s commitment to accelerating AI-powered transformation for enterprises and aligns with its broader strategy to make AI integral to every layer of software development and work management.

Atlassian’s collaboration software currently powers over 80% of the Fortune 500 and supports 300,000+ customers worldwide, including NASA, Deutsche Bank, and Bosch. DX, meanwhile, serves top technology companies such as Dropbox, Pinterest, and BNY, with a focus on developer analytics and platform efficiency.

With DX officially joining the Atlassian family, enterprises can expect a new era of data-driven developer experience, where insights fuel agility, innovation, and measurable outcomes in AI-led software development.
