Arlo Technologies, a leading smart home security brand, has announced the rollout of Advanced Audio Detection, a new AI-powered feature in its Arlo Secure Plus subscription plan for users in Australia and New Zealand.
Powered by Arlo Intelligence, the company’s smart security AI engine, this enhancement aims to provide subscribers with greater situational awareness through real-time audio alerts. The new feature complements existing video-based detections such as Person, Vehicle, and Custom Recognition by adding alerts for critical sounds like screams, gunshots, dog barks, glass breaking, and Smoke/CO alarms.
“With Advanced Audio Detection, Arlo Secure Plus transforms how homeowners respond to emergencies,” said the company. “It empowers users to take swift action by providing timely and context-rich alerts — whether it’s a dog barking at an intruder or glass breaking during a burglary attempt.”
“Arlo continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in home security with our relentless focus on industry-first innovations.”
— Matthew McRae, CEO, Arlo Technologies
