New Workday Learning solution, powered by Sana, delivers personalized AI tutoring, interactive content creation, and automated learning operations
Workday, the enterprise AI platform for human resources, finance, and IT, has announced the general availability of Workday Learning, powered by Sana, a new AI-native learning solution designed to help organizations accelerate workforce development and strengthen AI readiness.
The solution combines Workday’s trusted people and skills data with Sana’s AI-powered learning capabilities to deliver personalized, context-aware learning experiences. The launch addresses a growing challenge faced by enterprises, where fragmented systems, manual processes, and generic training content often limit the effectiveness of employee learning and development initiatives.
Workday Learning introduces AI-powered tools for learners, content creators, and administrators. Employees can access a personal AI tutor that provides real-time guidance, explains complex concepts, recommends relevant learning paths, and helps build job-specific skills. The platform leverages Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) data to tailor recommendations based on an employee’s role, skills, location, and career goals.
For learning and development teams, the platform simplifies course creation by converting existing content such as presentations and PDFs into interactive learning experiences. AI-assisted authoring tools can generate learning objectives, quizzes, and localized content, significantly reducing content development timelines.
“Checking the box isn’t the same as building a skill. With a personal AI tutor, interactive quizzes, and learning tailored to each employee’s role and skills, Workday Learning, powered by Sana, turns required training into engaging experiences employees can apply in their day-to-day work.”
Joel Hellermark, Chief AI Officer, Workday
The solution also automates key administrative functions, including learning assignments, compliance programs, reporting, and employee onboarding activities. Workday says organizations using AI-powered authoring capabilities have reported reductions of up to 98% in content creation time.
Industry leaders have already begun adopting the platform. Accenture highlighted the solution as part of its efforts to deliver more personalized and AI-enabled learning experiences across its global workforce, while analyst firm The Josh Bersin Company praised the integration of Sana’s capabilities into Workday’s learning ecosystem.
Available globally for Workday HCM customers, the new offering aims to help organizations move beyond traditional training models by creating adaptive, engaging, and skills-focused learning experiences that support workforce transformation in the AI era.
