Unified, AI-enabled platform enhances reliability for 24/7 healthcare operations
Dell Technologies has announced that Omega Healthcare Management Services has modernized its global IT infrastructure using Dell Private Cloud, establishing a unified, AI-enabled ecosystem designed to support uninterrupted healthcare operations worldwide.
The transformation enables Omega Healthcare to standardize and automate its infrastructure across multiple geographies, ensuring consistent uptime for mission-critical clinical and administrative workflows. As healthcare organizations increasingly rely on digital systems, minimizing downtime has become essential to maintaining patient care quality and operational continuity.
Omega Healthcare, which provides AI-driven healthcare solutions to major U.S. hospitals and providers, operates 24/7 across multiple global delivery centers. As the company expanded its footprint across India and other regions, its IT environment became more complex, with multiple platforms, vendors, and systems limiting visibility and operational efficiency.
To address these challenges, the organization adopted Dell Private Cloud powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors. The platform delivers a standardized and repeatable architecture that unifies compute, storage, and networking management while supporting existing systems. This simplifies lifecycle management and ensures consistency across locations.
“Any disruption in healthcare can impact clinical outcomes. That’s why availability is the fundamental principle for our infrastructure,” said Srikanth Katuri, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer at Omega Healthcare.
The infrastructure is built on Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell PowerStore storage, enabling a disaggregated architecture where compute and storage can scale independently. This flexibility enhances resilience and performance for critical healthcare workloads, ensuring systems remain responsive even during peak demand.
A key advantage of the modernization is improved workload mobility, allowing Omega Healthcare to seamlessly shift operations across regions. This capability supports its “follow-the-sun” service model, ensuring continuous operations and uninterrupted service delivery for healthcare providers globally.
The platform also integrates Dell’s Automation Platform and AIOps capabilities, providing centralized, AI-driven visibility into infrastructure health. This allows IT teams to proactively identify and address potential issues, reduce manual intervention, and focus on innovation and efficiency improvements.
Dell Technologies highlighted that the deployment demonstrates how healthcare organizations can modernize infrastructure while maintaining reliability and control. By building a scalable and intelligent foundation, Omega Healthcare is better positioned to support growing demand and future digital transformation initiatives.
The modernization underscores the critical role of resilient, AI-enabled infrastructure in delivering consistent, high-quality care in today’s always-on healthcare environment.
