A landmark initiative empowering educators, parents, and students to use generative AI safely, ethically, and intelligently
In a strategic move to strengthen digital literacy and safety, Palo Alto Networks, the global cybersecurity leader, in collaboration with Cyberlite, has launched the AI Safety in the Classroom Toolkit — an innovative educational resource designed to equip students with the skills needed to use generative AI responsibly.
Developed for educators, parents, and instructors without technical backgrounds, the toolkit offers 30-minute modular lessons that introduce key topics such as generative AI foundations, bias recognition, deepfake detection, privacy awareness, and responsible digital behaviour.
“The AI Safety in the Classroom Toolkit empowers educators and students to navigate the fast-evolving AI landscape with awareness, ethics, and critical thinking.”
— Lisa Sim, VP, Marketing, Asia-Pacific & Japan, Palo Alto Networks
The initiative reflects Palo Alto Networks’ growing commitment to cybersecurity education and community engagement, building on its long-standing partnership with Cyberlite. Together, the two organizations have already distributed over 100,000 “Ready, Get Set, Connect!” cybersafety workbooks across schools in the Asia Pacific region.
“Our partnership with Palo Alto Networks represents a significant leap forward in our shared mission to empower the next generation,” said Michelle Yao, Co-Founder, Cyberlite. “The AI Safety in the Classroom Toolkit provides practical, accessible lessons that help students think critically and use AI safely and ethically.”
The toolkit arrives at a time when AI-driven social engineering and deepfake threats are accelerating. Research from Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 underscores the increasing role of AI in cybercrime, where generative tools are being exploited to create convincing and personalised attacks.
Available in English and Bahasa Indonesia, the toolkit extends the reach of Palo Alto Networks’ CyberFit Nation program, which seeks to build cyber resilience through education.
By empowering educators and communities to teach AI safety, the initiative takes an important step toward shaping a digitally responsible future generation.
