New identity protection, AI-powered threat hunting, and Secureworks integration mark a major leap in cyber defense
Sophos has announced a sweeping upgrade to its Security Operations portfolio, reinforcing its position as a global cybersecurity leader. The enhancements include the launch of Sophos Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), expanded advisory services, AI-driven threat hunting, and deeper integration with Secureworks technologies following its $859 million acquisition earlier this year.
The new Sophos ITDR solution offers faster visibility into identity risks and stronger protection against identity-based attacks—one of the fastest-growing threat vectors globally. Sophos Advisory Services, powered by Sophos X-Ops intelligence, provides advanced penetration testing and security assessments to help organizations proactively reduce risk.
“Sophos is redefining what it means to be a trusted security partner.”

A key milestone in Sophos’ integration journey is the incorporation of Secureworks’ Counter Threat Unit (CTU) into Sophos X-Ops, enhancing global threat tracking and intelligence. This unified task force now delivers world-class adversary monitoring, dark web insights, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies worldwide.
Sophos Endpoint has also been natively integrated with Taegis MDR and XDR, streamlining prevention, detection, and response while reducing complexity and cost. Starting November, all Sophos MDR and XDR subscriptions will include third-party integrations across endpoint, firewall, cloud, email, and identity technologies at no additional cost.
Sophos is also introducing AI-powered Security Analyst and Threat Hunting Assistants to accelerate investigations and remediation. These innovations are informed by the experience of Sophos MDR analysts who protect over 35,000 organizations globally.
“With global scale, visibility, and the intelligence of Sophos X-Ops, we’re delivering stronger outcomes today and ensuring organizations can keep their businesses running securely in the face of tomorrow’s threats,” said Raja Patel.
Trusted by over 75,000 organizations, Sophos continues to combine advanced technology with human expertise to deliver measurable cybersecurity outcomes at scale.
