Acquisition eliminates migration bottlenecks and accelerates AI-powered SOC transformation

CrowdStrike has announced its intent to acquire Onum, a pioneer in real-time telemetry pipeline management, in a move that will further strengthen its Falcon® Next-Gen SIEM platform. The acquisition is designed to eliminate data migration barriers, enhance in-pipeline detection, and deliver autonomous cybersecurity at scale.

George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike, emphasized the significance of the deal: “Onum is both a pipeline and a filter, which will stream high-quality, filtered data directly into the platform to drive autonomous cybersecurity at scale. This is how we stop breaches at the speed of AI while giving customers complete control over their entire data ecosystem – well beyond cybersecurity.”

“Our Next-Gen SIEM is the engine that powers the modern SOC, and data is the fuel that makes the engine run.” — George Kurtz, CEO & Founder, CrowdStrike

Falcon as the Operating System of Cybersecurity

Falcon Next-Gen SIEM has been gaining momentum as enterprises increasingly view it as the operating system of cybersecurity. With its hyper-scalable, AI-driven data foundation, the platform is unlocking capabilities that traditional SIEMs cannot match, offering faster detection, lower costs, and agentic speed for modern SOCs.

The acquisition of Onum further consolidates this position, providing customers with streamlined data onboarding and intelligent pipeline capabilities that begin analysis before the data even enters the Falcon platform.

Onum’s Role: Intelligence at the Source

Onum, built on a stateless, in-memory architecture, complements Falcon’s architecture by enabling autonomous intelligence at the data source. Its in-pipeline analysis delivers speed, efficiency, and early detection, making SOC transformation smoother and more cost-efficient.

Pedro Castillo, founder and CEO of Onum, said, “Onum was founded on the belief that pipelines should do more than transport data – they should transform data into real-time intelligence. By joining CrowdStrike, we can deliver this vision at unprecedented scale to accelerate SOC transformation globally.”

Key Advantages for Enterprises

With Onum, CrowdStrike promises breakthroughs in three critical areas:

  • Speed: Processing up to five times more events per second compared to competitors.
  • Cost Efficiency: Smart filtering reduces storage costs by up to 50%.
  • Superior Outcomes: Real-time pipeline detection accelerates incident response by 70% while reducing ingestion overhead by 40%.

By eliminating long-standing migration challenges and embedding in-pipeline analysis, CrowdStrike positions Falcon Next-Gen SIEM as the definitive foundation for AI-driven cybersecurity and IT operations.
