The Anam Group Deploys AI Chat in 150 Languages to Transform Guest Engagement

Luxury Vietnamese hospitality brand integrates OpenAI- and Google-powered solution for instant, multilingual responses across web and social platforms.

The Anam Group has become the first hospitality brand in Vietnam to roll out an AI-powered chat system capable of answering guest queries in real time, around the clock, in approximately 150 languages.

The technology, developed in partnership with a US-based company and blending innovations from OpenAI and Google, is embedded on theanam.com and directly interfaces with the group’s property management system. Guests can instantly receive detailed information about stays at The Anam Cam Ranh or The Anam Mui Ne — from room availability to dining options — without navigating menus or waiting for email replies.

Commercial director Martin Koerner called the platform a “game-changer” for booking decisions.

“Rather than trawling through pages to see what fits their needs, guests get a comprehensive, friendly response right away — complete with warm greetings in Vietnamese and translations in their own language,” Koerner said.

The system also manages Facebook, Instagram, and website message boxes, with plans to extend to WhatsApp for in-house guests. Koerner stressed that staff remain integral to overseeing and updating the platform to ensure accuracy, while also freeing teams to focus on personalised in-person service.

By removing language barriers and providing rapid, tailored answers, The Anam Group aims to blend cutting-edge AI with what it calls “good ol’ fashioned Vietnamese hospitality.”
