Newgen Secures Patent for Automated Quality and Usability Assessment of Scanned Documents

Newgen Software has been granted Patent Number 316146, entitled “Automated Quality and Usability Assessment of Scanned Documents”.

The patent recognizes Newgen’s rich experience, efforts, and inventions. The invention, feature of Newgen OmniScan solution, enables organizations to automatically assess the quality of images at the point of scanning and help them make necessary corrections. This will help organizations in reducing errors, ensuring faster processing and delivering effective output.

The patent is granted by the Indian Patent Office (Chennai) administered by the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM), part of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion under Ministry of Commerce and Industry. And, is valid till October 6, 2029.

Newgen has filed 44 patents till date, out of which 12 have been granted.
