TCS and Randstad Join Hands to Leverage Public Cloud Marketplace

Companies will design and deploy world’s largest end-to-end public cloud marketplace as part of TCS’ re-imagination deal to drive business agility

Tata Consultancy Services has entered into a global partnership with Randstad Global IT Solutions to design and deploy one of the world’s largest end-to-end public cloud marketplaces for IT infrastructure services. Randstad, as part of its IT transformation strategy, is keen to improve its current IT Infrastructure operations through assets and vendor optimization, process standardization, automation and deriving economies of scale.

Last year, Randstad announced the setup of an IT Shared Services Center that will help springboard the organization to the next era of business transformation through centralization of global processes and technology, specifically in the areas of Networks leveraging public internet and Datacenter hosting in the public cloud.

Randstad is one of the largest HR services providers in the world, with more than 4,600 locations across 39 countries and more than 19 Billion EUR in revenues globally. The company specializes in sourcing talent across a range of industries – from accountancy and finance to construction and engineering – as well as delivering outsourcing solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Managed Services Programs (MSP).

TCS has been present in the Netherlands and Benelux region since 1992 and has continuously invested in the market locally to deliver consistent results to its customers. The company was recently ranked first for customer satisfaction in a European-wide survey of service provider performance, conducted by Whitelane Research. TCS was also ranked as the number one Top Employer in the Netherlands in 2016 by the Top Employer Institute.

Bernardo Payet, General Manager of Randstad Global IT Solutions said, “Today the disruptive influences of digital technology are providing us with more opportunities to capitalize in our markets. We decided to centralize responsibility for all IT infrastructures into the new Global IT Shared Service Center. In turn the IT SSC was looking for partners to transform the landscape over time, to a fully cloud enabled Future Mode of Operations. We found in TCS the perfect combination of contextual understanding, technology foresight and the willingness to invest in a relationship to make this initiative succeed. It quickly became clear that TCS’ expertise and track record of delivering large scale, multi-market Digital and IT projects made it the best possible partner for us. We are confident that this partnership is the right step in our transformation journey and will help us realize our goals.”

Amit Kapur, Director and Head, TCS Benelux, commented, “In today’s dynamic economy, success of business depends on its ability to adapt quickly to new opportunities or changing customer demands. This engagement will enable Randstad to significantly boost the agility and scalability of its global IT services, as well as drive efficiencies and economies of scale. We are delighted to be partnering with Randstad on such a strategically important initiative and look forward to working closely to deliver real business benefits in the coming years. We are taking Cloud Services delivery to a new paradigm, whereby customers will have all the choices from public cloud marketplace and the benefits of our services wrapped around it enabled through a Global Network Delivery.”
