ThoughtSpot Appoints Damien Brophy as VP of EMEA as Regional Growth Accelerates

ThoughtSpot, the Modern Analytics Cloud company, announced it has named Damien Brophy as the Vice President EMEA. In his role, Brophy will be responsible for managing ThoughtSpot’s operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In particular, he will focus on helping ThoughtSpot customers unleash the power of their cloud data as the company’s new cloud offerings drive across all business sectors.

A burgeoning executive bench

Brophy brings over 17 years’ experience in business development and sales to his role at ThoughtSpot, including most recently leading ThoughtSpot’s UK & Ireland team. Prior to ThoughtSpot, Brophy served as the Regional Director for UK & Ireland at MongoDB, where he built the local go to market team. He’s previously held roles at PatSnap, GlobalData, Informa, and Experian.

“As a member of ThoughtSpot’s EMEA team, I’ve been privileged to work closely with some of the region’s most innovative companies, helmed by leaders trailblazing the future of their organizations with analytics,” said Damien Brophy, Vice President EMEA, ThoughtSpot. “I’m so excited to step into this new role at ThoughtSpot at a time when we’re helping our customers push the boundaries of what’s possible with their cloud data like never before, while building a team ready to take on one of the hottest sectors in technology today.”

Additionally, ThoughtSpot also announced the appointment of Adam Watkins, Regional Director, Commercial (EMEA) at ThoughtSpot. Watkins joins the EMEA leadership team, heading the new EMEA Commercial team to bring the Modern Analytics Cloud to companies of all sizes throughout the region. Watkins joins from Okta, where he built and scaled the Commercial and SMB teams to great success.

“I’ve been working with organizations of all shapes and sizes for years who continue to tell me they need new ways to empower their entire business with their cloud data. The Modern Analytics Cloud from ThoughtSpot makes this possible for any business through a true consumer-grade experience,” said Adam Watkins, Regional Director, Commercial (EMEA) at ThoughtSpot. “What compelled me to join was the massive need for better analytics from the commercial space, and the disruptive approach ThoughtSpot has taken to solving this challenge.”

A record year across EMEA

The appointments of Brophy and Watkins follow a strong recent period of innovation and growth. This includes:

  • Growing customer traction: Driven by growing customer adoption, ThoughtSpot EMEA’s ARR grew approximately 50% YoY, while it’s average deal size grew more than 20% YoY. New customers include companies Harri, Hogarth Worldwide, and Frontify.
  • Expanding geographic footprint. ThoughtSpot opened new data centers in Frankfurt, Germany, and Dublin, Ireland, while also beginning operations in Benelux.
  • Major new product offerings. Over the past year, ThoughtSpot launched ThoughtSpot Cloud, the first SaaS platform for search and AI-driven analytics. The company also launched ThoughtSpot Everywhere, a low-code development platform to enable product builders to incorporate the Modern Analytics Cloud into their apps and services.
  • Acquiring multiple companies. In March, ThoughtSpot announced it had acquired SeekWell to help organizations operationalize insights. In May, the company announced its acquisition of Diyotta to supercharge integrations and partnerships with other cloud data innovators.
