Huawei Ranked No. 1 in Global DC Power Systems Market

Frost & Sullivan announced that Huawei held a 24.7% share of the market in 2013

Frost & Sullivan has found that Huawei holds the number one position in DC power systems sales for 2013 in their latest “Analysis of the Global DC (Direct Current) Power Systems Market” report.
It states that Huawei held a 24.7% share of the market in 2013, attributed to “its robust product line and its successful growth strategy in key geographies”, as well as “higher power to compete on performance due to its solid telecom background.” Furthermore, Huawei’s strengths were noted as having the “highest rectifier efficiency, flexible system, brand equity fostered by inherent presence in telecom.”

With more than 2,000 technical experts engaged in power solution research across nine global R&D centers, and with 520 energy-related patents granted, Huawei Network Energy Product Line currently leads innovation within this industry. Benefiting from Huawei’s technological prowess and in-depth understanding of the ICT industry, Huawei’s power systems function seamlessly in over 300 carriers’ networks. Adhering to the philosophy of “simplicity” and “high-efficiency”, Huawei continues to invest in algorithm development, chipsets, highly-efficient power conversion components, flexible system design, management software, and quality control to meet carriers’ demands for mission critical application.
In 2011, Huawei launched a series of rectifiers ranging from 15A to 100A. These modular rectifiers are reliable, compact, and have a low carbon footprint. These features have made Huawei power solutions the first choice for approximately 40% of top 50 telecom carriers globally.

In 2013, Huawei unveiled its new generation super-efficient rectifier. With a maximum efficiency exceeding 98% (VDE-certified), this rectifier reduces power consumption by over 50% when compared to rectifiers with 96% efficiency, demonstrating a significant advancement in energy conservation and carbon emission reduction. Leading carriers, such as British Telecom, are starting to opt for this super-efficient path to evolve their network energy.
