Startups across Smart Cities, Agriculture, Healthcare Recognized at IoTNext 2016

Awards recognize new age Startups across Smart Cities, Agriculture and Healthcare sectors

India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the premier trade body, representing the Indian Electronic Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM), along with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Bangalore announced the winners of IoTNext Startup Awards 2016.

IESA and TiE have shortlisted five IoT start-ups companies, pertaining to Safe Nation, Industrial IoT, Agriculture and Food, Medical/ Healthcare and Automotive space.

While announcing the winners, K Krishna Moorthy, Corporate Vice President & Managing Director, India Design Center Rambus Chip Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. Chairman IESA said, “The IoT ecosystem is moving fast towards newer heights. If we keep PCs as base metrics, and calculate smartphone penetration as 10X, then we can expect IoT to drive wireless penetration by a factor of 100 to 1,000 times by the end of 2020. We are seeing great momentum in Indian start-up companies”.

“We are glad to recognize the future IoT powerhouses. We expect them to dominate the global IoT landscape in the years to come,” he further added.

At the occasion, congratulating all the winners commented, Naganand Doraswamy, President, TiE , Bangalore & Managing Partner, Ideaspring Capital, while felicitating the winners said, “We are glad to bring the inaugural edition of the IoTNext Awards and provide a platform to the upcoming entrepreneurs in the emerging sectors of agriculture, medical, safe nation and automotive.”
