Containment of damage caused by fire is one of the most important area that needs to be addressed today in India. As per the fire department records, fire accidents resulting from electrical faults and short circuits have seen a 10-fold jump over the last six years. In the industrial sector, 56% of industrial incidents is caused by electrical faults. Substandard electrical infrastructure in a building results in huge losses in terms of human life and assets. However, an integrated automation approach encompassing all systems, especially electrical equipment in buildings, can prevent critical damage to life and wealth. The event aims at keeping the industry professionals at par with the developing technology, and to encourage discussions on standards, codes and best practices.
